Danish million beef

Classic old dish from the danish kitchen from the 1960´s , very easy to make and actually very delicious. The classic way to serve it with mashed potatoes.

  • 500 grams beef, grounded
  • 2 Onion
  • butter
  • 4 dl beef stock
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • water
  • brown food colouring

1) Chop onion roughly. Melt a bit of butter in a deep pan, brown onions in the butter, add meat and brown with the onion

Add beef stock, and bring to a boil , let it simmer 5-10 minutes

In a glass or bowl add 2 tbsp. flour and water and whisk together, add to the boiling beef - sauce while stirring , let it boil for 5 minutes or until it thickens.

Add salt and pepper to tast, add food colouring till you get a nice brown colour (optional)

Serve with mashed potatoes ( or what kind of potatoes you like ) or pasta
