Smoked mackerel open-faced sandwich

This particular open-faced sandwich is a really summer and summer dish, and are often eaten for summer lunches
1 Serving

  • Smoked mackerel
  • 1 Egg yolk, (pasteurised if you prefer)
  • Onion, Sliced in rings
  • Chives
  • Black pepper, freshly grounded
  • Rye bread
  • Butter

1) Butter the rye bread

Lay smoked mackerel as much or less as you want, add onion rings

Separate yolk from whites, and carefully add in one of the onion rings on top, then garnish with chives and serve.
Add black pepper to taste

If you don’t want to use raw egg yolks, use pasteurised ones.
