Creamy pasta penne with Italian sausage

Not always when you say cabbage you think of Valentines Day, but serioulsy this is a easy and very tasty dish. Serve with side of green salad ,freshly baked baguette and a good whitewine you are good to go.

  • 250 grams whole wheat pasta penne
  • 350 grams italian sausage, meat off
  • 2,5 deciliter heavy cream
  • 3 handfuls cabbage, finely sliced
  • butter
  • freshly ground black pepper

1) Cook the pasta according to package , and set aside

Melt butter on frying pan and add the meat from the italian sausage , tear it apart to smaller bites , and brown it .

When meat is brown add the cabbage and sauté for a minute , and add the heavy cream and let it simmer on low to medium heat for 5-10 min. Until the heavy cream gets creamy ( evaporates a bit )
