Ultimate spaghetti carbonara

My hunsband absolutely favourite pasta dish. Very few ingredients and yet so testy . The secret is to reduce the heavy cream to very think , and it can tak up to 10 minutes .

  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 250 grams ham, diced
  • 250 grams bacon, diced
  • 500 milliliters heavy cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • Basil leaves

Cook the spaghetti after the instructions on the package

Cook bacon and ham until the bacon gets crips

In saucepan bring heavy cream to a boil while stirring , turn down the heat and let it simmer for around 10-15 min , until it reduces and thickens, stirring all the time .

Pour the heavy cream over the bacon-ham mix , and let it simmer a couple of minutes .

Add spaghetti and stirre it all together , divide it equally on 4 plates. Add a yolk on top and sprinkle with basil leaves .
